Human Factors Senior Consultant

General Description
The Senior / Lead Human Factors Consultant is responsible for managing and delivering client projects utilizing the IHF suite of Consultancy, Training and Technology products and services.
In addition, she/he will support Product and Service Development and Sales related activities through her/his own initiative or when requested by IHF personnel.

Detailed Job Description
This role focuses on three key areas of the IHF business:
1. Client Delivery and Assurance
2. Product and Service Development
3. Supporting Business Development
Client Delivery and Assurance
The role requires a competent individual to provide the full range of IHF’s Consulting, Training and Technology products and service to an established and future client base primarily in the United Kingdom. The role requires project management and delivery to several clients simultaneously.
A key component of the role is the ability and willingness to work offshore, sometimes at
short notice. Some client work will take place globally depending on the type of work and its required specialism.
The successful candidate must be willing to work across any industry that requests IHF’s
assistance, unless specifically agreed by Neil Clark, CEO IHF and the successful candidate prior to commencement of employment.

Product and Service Development
The successful candidate will also participate in the design, development and
commercialization of any new services and products. This will be in addition to Client Delivery and Assurance responsibilities. IHF encourages (and expects) any potential new ideas or improvements to its suite of products and services from all members of staff.

Supporting Business Development
It must be stressed that this is not a sales role. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting client meetings, demonstrations and proposal writing, as well as probing and exploring new markets. This activity will help develop existing clients as well as secure new
clients for the successful candidate to service.

Work Experience Requirements
Demonstrable and proven long term experience leading Human Factors / Ergonomics
projects within Blue Chip organisations.
Proven experience managing clients and colleagues to deliver tangible and sustainable HFdriven
improvements across organisations
Demonstrable experience cultivating and securing additional/new business through their
consulting activities
Proven experience applying Human Factors principles, concepts and practicalities to resolve
complex and simple Human Factors issues from a client perspective

Education Requirements
Postgraduate degree or Doctorate in Human Factors / Ergonomics / Occupational
Psychologist or appropriate level of experience that would entitle applicant to apply for chartership from IEHF.
